Agreement signing between the Housing Development Corporation and the recipients of the Hiyaa Flats commenced on Wednesday.
The agreements signed in the first round were for 118 units in tower H9. The signing began at 9:45 am at Huravee School in Hulhumale' and went on until 12:00 pm.
According to HDC, agreements were signed for flats whose recipients have submitted the required information forms and other form sets. HDC urged flat recipients to attend the agreement signing event as per the schedule publicized by the corporation. Recipients are asked to bring along a witness to the signing event. A clear ID card copy of the witness is required for signing.
If the Power of Attorney has been transferred to someone else, the person must attend the signing along with a witness. As a precautionary measure against COVID-19, recipients are asked to bring along a blue ballpoint pen and an ink pad for stamping.
While 6720 units from 16 towers will be handed over to its recipients under the 'Hiyaa' social housing scheme, agreement signing for all units is expected to conclude by end of August.
