Chief Supt. Shifan appointed as Head of Police College

Chief Superintendent of Police Ahmed Shifan has been appointed as the Head of the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement.

Shifan, who has also served as the Commander of the Addu and Fuvahmulah region, was most recently the Head of Male' Area 1. Superintendent of Police Hussain Sameer replaces Shifan as Head of Male' Area 1. Sameer was previously Head of Specialist Tactical Response.

Chief Inspector of Police Mohamed Sobah was also appointed as the Head of the Center for Applied Policing. He was previously the Head of the High Visibility Policing Unit.

Some of the positions in the police administrative departments have been changed as per general policies, Maldives Police Service said.
