The police have seized 11 kilograms of drugs in an operation conducted in Male' and Hulhumale'.
The Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameed, said in a tweet that the police counter-narcotics team seized 11.26 kg of drugs in a special operation conducted in Male' and Hulhumale' on Saturday. The items were seized during searches in five locations in Male' and Hulhumale'.
The police said the drugs seized were cannabis. Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident. The case is being further investigated.
A large number of drugs, beer, and liquor bottles have been seized in police operations since the beginning of the New Year. Police seized 44 bottles of beer, 36 500 ml bottles of suspected liquor, and two rubber packets of suspected drugs in an operation conducted last week.
