Adhaalath Party calls not to set conditions for talks

Adhaalath Party today called on not to set any conditions for participating in the All Party Talks. Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) had also called on the concerned parties to restart the All Party Talks.

In a letter sent to the President's Office, signed by Party's Deputy Leader Ali Zahir, the Party also listed their representatives for the talks. The letter called on all stakeholders to engage in the conversation, respect the agreement to hold the talks and not to set conditions for the said talks.

"Setting conditions prior to the start of the talks is one of the reasons for the failure of talks. Therefore, Adhaalath Party believes this will create more trust on the Government from the public and international parties," the letter said.

The letter also stated that Government interference into internal workings of political parties weakened the political system.
