Parliament member for Dhiggaru Ahmed Faris Maumoon asks the election commission to inform him if he has been removed from PPM.
EC has removed Faris from PPM's directory, regarding an issue sent in by PPM with the signature of 20 members.
Faris has sent a letter today to president of the Elections Commission, Ahmed Sulaiman stating that he received news of being removed from PPM through the media, and that he has received no official statement of being removed from PPM. It also said that he had not requested to be removed from the party.
"If i have been removed from PPM, I request a letter with the details of my removal," the letter by Faris read.
Faris said that if his name has been removed from the party, it has been done against the law.
"I would like the elections commission to decide that my name cannot be removed from the party," Faris said.
