The baby boy was still in IGMH's nursery when his mother left. The child is now in the care of the Gender Ministry.

Mausoom said that mothers are normally be discharged 24 hours after giving birth and the mother could freely leave the hospital. He said that the mother in this case had visited the hospital twice after being discharged but did not show up after that.
