Police have launched a manhunt for Ahmed Mubah from Lhaviyani Atoll Naifaru island over a case involving an underage minor.
Police said Family and Child Protection Services are aiding the hunt but did not details related to the case.
The man has also been sentenced to life in prison for an unrelated drug charge, and the Maldives Correctional Services have also requested police aid to find the man.
