The man injured in a fatal accident in Laamu Atoll link road on Friday has been airlifted to the caputal Male, Gan Regional Hospital said Saturday.
Doctors were unable to save the life of the other injured in the accident and had been pronounced dead upon reaching the hospital.
Director of the Gan Hospital said that the surviving man had been sent to Male for further treatment as his condition deteriorated due to the injuries he had sustained.
His left arm and leg had been broken in the accident along with numerous other injuries. Test results show that the man had also suffered severe internal bleeding.
