Fenaka launches workshop for staff
A two day workshop is being held in Haa Dhaal Atoll Kulhudhuffushi island for employees of Fenaka Corporation who work on the power generators in the Maldivian islands, instructing them on ways to supervise the installment of the hybrid renewable energy systems.
Information on the hybrid renewable energy and diesel engine mini grids will be provided to the 34 engine room staff from around the country. The participants will also be taught to supervise the installments of such grids, how to install and supervise PV power plants as well as how to operate and maintain diesel generators.
The joint efforts of the Energy Ministry, Asian Development Bank, the European Investment Bank and the Fenaka Corporation will go in to the workshop which falls under the Preparing Outer Islands for Sustainable Energy Development (POISED) program launched by the government to train those who work to provide electricity in the islands.
A similar workshop was held from the 26th to 27th of February in Haa Alif Dhihdhoo island.
