Sri Lanka gives green light for Maldivian flights to Colombo

Maldives' national airline, Maldivian, has been authorized to commence direct flights to Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Tourism minister, Moosa Zameer had met with the Sri Lankan Minister of Civil Aviation, Nimal Siripala De Silva on his trip to Sri Lanka. After discussions over the matter and authorization, it was decided that the direct flights to Colombo would commence with co-operation between the two countries.

Zameer also stressed on the importance of increasing direct flights to Ratmalana airport which he said would be extremely beneficial to huge Maldivian population residing in Colombo.

Maldivian has already extended its operations to several destinations all over the world.
