A Maldives man has been arrested in India for alleged involvement in drug peddling.
According to India media reports, the suspect identified as 35 year old Anil Ahmed was arrested with a Nigerian national from a house in CMR layout in Chellikete, Bengaluru.
Officials seized 48 grams of hashish oil, 430 grams of marijuana, three grams of methamphetamine and five blots of LSD from them. They were allegedly selling drugs to local distributors.
Indian officials was quoted as having said Anil Ahmed was also involved in smuggling hashish oil in November 2016 in Kempegowda international airport but was absconding since then.
Both suspects remain in judicial custody.
