The Public Service Media (PSM) has vowed to launch cable TV service across the Maldives within this year.
While speaking at an event held to celebrate the anniversary of Television Maldives (TVM), PSM Managing Director Ibrahim Khaleel informed that cable providers in the islands have now been given offers to join PSM's network.
"We will provide cable television to all areas of the Maldives during this year. We have brought in the latest technology required for a project of this magnitude and we are working on establishing infrastructure," Khaleel said.
He said that cable television would be provided at a relatively low price in the Maldives.
