JSC extends judge application deadline
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on Thursday extended the deadline to submit applications for several vacant posts within the judiciary, which includes judges and magistrates.
JSC announced a total of 42 vacancies on April 18. The posts include 10 magistrates and 32 higher magistrates.
The statement released by JSC said that interested parties who have already submitted their applications do not have to re-submit applications, and urged more interested parties to apply for the vacant posts.
Minimum requirement for the posts are a diploma in Islamic Shariah or constitutional law, and minimum two-year work experience as a lawyer, a judge or a legal position at a court.
The salary for a magistrate is MVR23,450 and for higher magistrates, it is MVR25,600.
