Game Of Thrones actor Coster-Waldau visits Maldives

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau of Game Of Thrones' fame has visited Maldives in order to attend a special conference hosted by UNDP.

The top-billed actor of the highest rated show on HBO, Coster-Waldau is also a Goodwill Ambassador of United Nations Development Fund (UNDP), and he has visited to take part in a special conference on global climatic change hosted by the organization.

He was clicked alongside UNDP's Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator Shoko Noda at the VIP Lounge of Velana International Airport - where he landed sometime on Sunday.

Famed as the "King Slayer" Nickolaj Coster-Waldau has broken out from his GOT fame to essay roles in top production house Hollywood movies like Gods Of Egypt where he starred opposite Gerard Butler and Brenton Twaites. He portrayed the role of mythical Egyptian god "Horus" in the movie.

Coster-Waldau received mainstream success and recognition in his portrayal of the vile Lannister twin Jaime Lannister in HBO's adaptation of George R.R Martin's "A Song Of Ice and Fire". His character who audiences were initially led to believe as scheming, manipulative and evil (not in league with his twin sister Cercei Lannister) had a broader screen presence following the second season run.

Since then his character had shown several redeeming qualities and personal growth from a king slaying war monger to a conflict ridden brother torn between his sister's schemes and conquests and his younger brother's trials and tribulations.

The global phenomenon that is Game Of Thrones is also the top watched series in Maldives as well.
