One of the convicts from the infamous Mayday protest back in 2015, Abdulla Rasheed has passed away at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on Tuesday.
Correction Services' media official had corroborated the news stating they received report of the demise of an inmate around 10:20hrs on Tuesday morning amid treatment.
The senior citizen was found guilty of conducting violence against officers using implements during the Mayday rally.
The 51 year old Rasheed was set to walk free after doing time, next year.
According to reports, Rasheed was admitted at IGMH on Monday due to diarrhea.
