Lawmakers question integrity of parliament session voting

Several lawmakers have started to question the integrity of the vote caste on Tuesday morning's parliament session where two individuals were approved as the new vice presidents of both Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).

In a letter sent to parliament Speaker Abdulla Maseeh, Alifushi constituency member Mohamed Rasheed Hussain had alleged possible tampering in vote caste on Tuesday's session.

The contents of the letter had explained that Isdhoo constituency lawmaker Ahmed Rasheed's name had reflected twice on the same vote count list.

Meanwhile Addu-Meedhoo constituency MP Rozaina Adam had shared screenshots of two documents, which is believed to be the vote count list for both voting sessions during Tuesday's sitting. Both documents reflect PPM affiliated Isdhoo lawmaker's name twice.

Parliament website had so far, not publicized the vote details list regarding Tuesday's session.
