Co-load company supports child rights NGO

Co-Load Maldives Pvt Ltd has donated MVR 35,000 to local NGO, Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC).

The donation was presented to ARC on 7th February by General Manager of Co-Load, Mohamed Haanee. Managing Director of ARC, Muruthala Moosa accepted the donation on behalf of the NGO.

Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization registered in the Maldives in December 2009. With a mission to protect and promote the rights and well-being of children of Maldives, ARC hopes to be the voice of children in the country, advocating for their health, safety, education and wellbeing.

ARC’s main areas of work include working closely with children’s shelters, advocacy and raising awareness on the rights of children through national and international outreach.

According to Co-founder of ARC, former Gender Minister Zenish Shaheed, the donation will be utilized to conduct awareness programs across the Maldives on child abuse.

Co-load Maldives commended ARC for their community work and expressed their interest in supporting the cause of the foundation further at the ceremony held to handover the donation.

Co-Load Private Limited came into existence in 1986 with cargo clearance as their first line of business. They have since expanded into real estate, construction, education and retail sector. Some of their notable businesses include Ace Hardware, Colour Bank and Maldives Business School among others.
