Six people have been charged in connection to the death of Rawshan Jian after a falling cement bag from a construction site had fatally injured her.
The young Bangladeshi girl succumbed to her injuries after the bag of cement fell from a building being constructed by W Construction Pvt Ltd.
After the police investigation into the incident, the police had forwarded the case to the Prosecutor General's office earlier this month. PG Office is now seeking to prosecute six individuals at the Criminal Court.
In a statement issued by the PG Office, it was revealed that four Indian workers at the construction site, along with two Maldivians are being charged in the case. The two Maldivians being charged are Senior Site Supervisor Moosa Hassan and Managing Director of W construction Adam Shafeeq.
