Main-ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has created five committees to oversee the implementation Agenda 19, their visionary framework for the next parliament.
Agenda 19 is the proposed parliamentary agenda that supplements the government manifesto. The committees were established to ensure that the party and their parliament members, along with the government work together to fulfill the pledges made during both the parliamentary and presidential election, said MDP in a statement released on Friday.
Cabinet ministers as well as MPs representing MDP in the parliament, and officials from state-owned companies and technical experts are part of the committees.
