Govt postpones schools re-opening for one week

The government has delayed schools reopening for a week due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The schools are currently closed for the mid-term break of the first term of this year and were to be reopened next week Sunday after a one week break. However, following the concern of some parents, doctors and NGOs who called to close the schools, the government has made the decision to postpone schools reopening for a week.

The government's spokesperson Mabrook Azeez, assigned to revealed information over the outbreak of the virus said even though the schools were to be reopened next Sunday, now it has been delayed for a week.

On a previous occasion, Mabrook has said the government was seeking a way to teach children from the home if the schools were to be closed due to the coronavirus.
