Lastest COVID-19 stats: 31 cases, 81 recoveries

The Maldives on Saturday recorded 31 cases of COVID-19.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1200 samples were tested in the 24 hours leading up to 6:00 pm of Saturday, out of which 31 samples tested positive for COVID-19. All but five cases were identified in the capital Male’ region. The new cases are of 25 locals and six foreigners. The total number of cases recorded in the Maldives is now at 10,045.

HPA also announced 81 recoveries on Saturday, increasing the total number of recoveries to 8,754. While 1,250 cases are currently across Maldives, 34 deaths have been recorded to date. 84 people are currently hospitalised out of which three people are in critical condition. Cases are active in 20 islands and 24 resorts across Maldives.
