Govt seeks parties to construct 14-storey residential buildings in the capital

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation is seeking parties to construct two 14-storey buildings in capital Male' to resolve housing issues in Male'.

According to the corporation, the first building will be constructed at a 231,073 sqft land on block 307. The second building will be constructed on a 173,229 sqft plot on block 319.

Both local and foreign companies interested in the project are invited to take part in the bid. Interested parties have been asked to register by April 29th and submit their proposals by June 16th. Bidders have the option to submit separate proposals for each building. The bid security for local companies is MVR 500,000 while it is USD 100,000 for foreign companies.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih earlier this month pledged to convert labor quarters and empty plots in Male city into residential buildings.

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited is a 100% state-owned company established by the Government of the Maldives, with the primary objective of providing social housing to the citizens of Maldives. FDC was incorporated by a Presidential Decree on 25th March 2019.
