Gov't seeks parliamentary approval to appoint three ambs

The government is seeking parliamentary approval to appoint three ambassadors.

The nominations include the appointment of Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundu) as Maldivian Ambassador to the UAE, Iruthisham Adam as the Maldivian Ambassador to the UK, and Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed as the Maldives' Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

The names were officially presented to the Parliament and have been referred to the Foreign Relations Committee for further evaluation.

Mundu has previously served as the Maldivian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Minister at the President's Office, Youth Minister, and Spokesperson of the President's Office. He is currently Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr.Iruthisham Adam has previously served as Youth Minister, Health Minister, and Ambassador.

Dr. Ali Naseer was previously the UN Permanent Representative from the Maldives. He has held various positions in the Foreign Ministry, including Permanent Secretary and Ambassadorship, and currently serves as the Ambassador at Large in the Foreign Ministry.
