Abu Dhabi adds Maldives to COVID-19 green list

Abu Dhabi has once again added Maldives to its COVID-19 green list.

The island nation was removed from the list on August 17. However, Abu Dhabi's Tourism Department once again added the archipelago to its green list in its most recent weekly revision of the list. 55 other countries are on the green list in addition to the Maldives.

With Maldives back on Abu Dhabi's green list, travelers from the Maldives will no longer be required to quarantine upon arrival in the UAE capital. However, they must undergo a PCR test at Abu Dhabi International Airport upon arrival.

UAE opened its borders to tourists in December 2020. A negative PCR test valid for a maximum of 48 hours before departure must be presented on arrival in the country.
