President-elect of the 76th UN General Assembly and Maldives Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid has appointed Ms. Monica Grayley as his Spokesperson for the duration of his presidency.
Ms. Grayley is currently the Chief-Editor of ONU News Português. She previously served as the Spokesperson for the President of the 73rd UN General Assembly, María Fernanda from 2018 to 2019.
Shahid is currently in New York after attending the Speakers Conference organized by IPU, which was held in Australia. Shahid met with India's State Minister of External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi, who is also in New York at this time.
Shahid will officially take his place as UNGA President next Tuesday.
