Three vaccines used in the Maldives accepted by the UK

The United Kingdom will be accepting the three COVID-19 vaccines used in the Maldives and will be allowing those who received the vaccines to travel to the UK without quarantine.

The new change will come into effect at 04:00 am on Monday. The vaccines accepted by the UK are India's Covishield vaccine, Singapore manufactured AstraZeneca vaccine and German manufactured Pfizer vaccine.

Several people in the Maldives have received China's Sinopharm vaccine. However, the UK government has not come to a decision regarding the Sinopharm vaccine thus far.

In a tweet, UK Ambassador to the Maldives, Caron Rohsler also confirmed that the three vaccines used in the Maldives' vaccine campaign will be accepted by the UK.
