Thailand announces quarantine-free travel for visitors from Maldives

Travelers from the Maldives will no longer be required to quarantine when traveling to Thailand.

Thailand's Tourism Ministry said travelers from countries where the COVID-19 situation has improved would not be required to quarantine on arrival to Thailand if they have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Maldives was listed among the 63 countries which Thailand deems safe for quarantine-less travel.

The Maldives' COVID-19 situation has improved over the past months, with the number of positive cases decreasing day by day. Over 60 percent of the archipelago's population has been fully vaccinated.
