Working hard to resolve service interruption issues: BML

Bank of Maldives (BML) has said the Bank is working on resolving service interruption issues faced during its system upgrading process.

A statement released by BML on Monday said in order to enhance operational resiliency and maintain the necessary security and technology standards of their systems, Bank of Maldives regularly undertakes system upgrades. 

The Bank said on 21st November 2021, they completed a major upgrade to their core banking system. The Bank said upgrading the core banking system is often a complex and comprehensive process which can impact service availability for banks across the globe. While the Bank expected to face minimal system interruptions which were communicated in advance to customers, they unfortunately continued to face intermittent outages since the upgrade which they are working hard to resolve. 

The Bank apologized to its customers for the inconvenience caused as a result, and and thanked them for their continued patience during this time.
