The Development of a City Hotel in Raa Vaadhoo has been handed over to a Singapore company.
The agreement between the Secretariat of the Vaadhoo Council and M20 Hospitality Ventures Private Limited was signed at a ceremony held in Maagiri Hotel in capital Male' on Monday.
The development of a city hotel in Vaadhoo was first assigned to a Maldivian company, Faalan Holding Private Limited, on November 14, 2016. Three hectares of land were designated for the project from the island's northern end. However, the lease was changed, and revisions were brought to the agreement before finalizing the change.
The Vaadhoo City will be four stories high with 25 beach villas and 25 garden villas. While planning and concept design of the project is underway, Vaadhoo Council is working on expediting arrangements relevant to government entities.
