MWSC increases renewable energy capacity in Dhuvaafaru

MWSC has increased renewable energy production in R. Dhuvaafaru.

The utility company has been using a 48 kWh solar power system to create energy in Dhuvaafaru Operation Center. MWSC has now increased capacity by installing an additional 35 kWh solar power system on the island. With this addition, Dhuvaafaru's energy production rate has been increased to 83 kWh.

Under efforts to reduce fuel dependency and find environment-friendly alternatives for energy use, MWSC uses renewable energy to produce electricity in Male', Hulhumale', Maafushi, Kulhudhuffushi, and Dhuvaafaru. The company has the capacity to produce renewable energy at 758 kWh.
