An MNDF officer has been arrested with a large quantity of alcohol. The officer was arrested in an operation conducted by Maldives Police Service's Drug Enforcement Department on Sunday night.
The police confirmed that a drug operation was carried out on Sunday. However, no further details were provided.
AVAS has learned that an additional suspect was arrested in addition to the MNDF officer. They were arrested from their place of residence in capital Male' around 08:30 pm.
Some bystanders said the police took several boxes into their custody.
