COVID-19: Mobile vaccine teams to make housecalls

Vaccine teams from the Health Ministry have commenced making house calls to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to bed-ridden individuals.

The ministry kicked off the program on Tuesday, with vaccine teams from Dhamanaveshi working as mobile teams. The ministry instructed those who wish to get their shots at home to call the Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s 1976 hotline to make an appointment.

The latest statistics issued by HPA show 397,615 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 389,820 people have received both doses. 70,825 people have received an additional booster shot.
