As part of its strategy to expand banking services to support local communities, the national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) on Monday opened a new self-service banking ATM centre in R. Maduvarri.
The centre will provide cash withdrawal, deposit, and transfer services to individuals and businesses on a 24-hour basis.
Raa Atoll currently has two branches with self-service banking facilities in Ungoofaaru and Meedhoo. In addition to this, self-service banking centres have been established in Alifushi, Dhuvaafaru and Maduvvari.
BML's CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer said the opening of an ATM centre in Maduvvari demonstrates the Bank's commitment to expand access to convenient banking services in the atolls. He said the Bank looked forward to adding more ATMs to its network over the coming weeks to support individuals, businesses and communities across the country.
With a nationwide network of 35 branches across all 20 atolls, 79 Self Service Banking Centres, 137 ATMs, over 200 agents and a full suite of Digital Banking services, Bank of Maldives is committed to supporting individuals, businesses and communities across Maldives.
