The Economic Ministry has established a designated call center for councils.
The ministry said the call center was established to streamline the services provided to the public by councils relating to the ministry's mandate.
The ministry said information regarding business registration and expatriate services can be obtained through the call center.
The call center numbers are 3335007, 3335770, 3335773, and 3335776.
Island and atoll councils have always expressed concern over delays in receiving the necessary permits from the relevant government entities and difficulties obtaining information. Although the current administration empowered councils, there have always been difficulties in completing tasks through the government.
