Temperatures of over 430 degrees were recorded in some parts of the Maldives on Sunday.
According to the Maldives Meteorological Service, the temperatures recorded across five stations show the 'feels-like' temperature rose the most at Hulhule island, where Velana International Airport is located. A high of 43 degrees was recorded in Hulhule.
The feels-like temperature exceeded 40 degrees in the north and central areas. While a feels-like temperature of 41 degrees was recorded in HDh. Hanimaadhoo, MMS said temperatures between 38 to 39 degrees were recorded in L. Kadhdhoo, GDh. Kaadedhdhoo, and S. Gan.
