Sheikhs Nishan and Fazloon remanded for seven days

Sheikh Adam Nishan bin Ali Adam and Sheikh Fazloon Mohamed have been remanded in custody for seven days.

The two were arrested after a group stormed an event held at the Galolhu Stadium on Tuesday to mark International Yoga Day. Sheikh Adam Nishan bin Ali Adam and Sheikh Fazloon Mohamed, who were also protestors, were remanded in custody for seven days.

Police also released photos of the six people arrested in connection with the case on Thursday.

They are Mohamed Ismail, 48, of Ha.Hoarafushi/ Yaghooth; Ibrahim Razzan, 32, of S.Hithadhoo/ Orchid Villa, Adam Nishan, 38, of L.Maamendhoo/Sosunvila; Ahmed Nasooh, 26, of L.Maamendhoo / Asrafeevila; Abdullah Rifau, 31, of Th.Thimarafushi/Narugisvilla, and Fazloon Mohamed, 33 from N. Milandhoo/Naaz.

Ahmed Nasooh and Abdullah Rifau were remanded in custody for 60 days. Mohamed Ismail and Ibrahim Razzan were remanded in custody for five days.

Twelve people have been arrested thus far in connection to the case.
