Nasheed's phone stolen in London

Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed's phone has been stolen.

In a message, Nasheed's daughter informed family members that her father's phone was stolen while the duo was having dinner at a London restaurant. Nasheed's daughter asked family members to block his phone number.

Deputy Speaker Eva Abdulla, who is Nasheed's niece, shared the message on the WhatsApp for MPs. The Parliament Office has also confirmed that Nasheed's phone was stolen without providing further details. The Parliament's Counsel General Fathimath Niusha has since removed Nasheed's number from the group for security reasons.

The robbery comes after Nasheed alleged that his phone had photographs of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih committing adultery. However, the President's Office has denied Nasheed's allegations.
