The Finance Ministry has said MVR 21 billion has been utilized thus far from the state budget approved for the year.
According to figures published by the ministry, MVR 21 billion has been utilized as total expenditure. Of this expenditure, Rs MVR billion was spent on salaries and MVR 9 billion on administrative expenses.
The largest expenditure under capital expenditure was on infrastructure assets. The government spent MVR 2.8 billion for the purpose.
The budget approved for this year is MVR 37 billion. The state expects a revenue of MVR 24 billion this year.
