The national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the winners of the Small Grants fund introduced as part of the series of 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the Bank's 40th anniversary.
The fund was announced to support Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) to implement community-based projects that address environmental issues and promote sustainable development. Each winner will receive a grant of MVR 250,000 to successfully implement the plan.
The eight NGOs to win the BML Small Grants are:
1. Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA)
2. Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT)
3. Vaadhoo Association for Future Development (VAFD)
4. Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (Kurevi)
5. Women in Fuvahmulah
6. Small Island Research Group
7. Huvadhoo Aid
8. Kihaadhoo Development Society (KIDS)
