The main-ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)'s President and presidential primary candidate, Mohamed Nasheed, will be traveling to the northern islands to campaign for the party's upcoming primary.
Nasheed will go head to head against President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to contest for the party's presidential ticket in its presidential primary scheduled for January 28, 2023.
According to sources, Nasheed will be traveling to three atolls in the north. He will be meeting with party members during the tour. His campaign team has yet to disclose the islands that Nasheed is scheduled to visit.
President Nasheed will be holding a special meeting at Sultan Park on Wednesday night to meet with the public. The meeting is expected to focus on his campaign.
