President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has traveled to Haa Alifu atoll for his MDP presidential primary campaign.
President Solih will contest against Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed in the main ruling party's presidential campaign slated for January 28. The campaigns of both candidates are ongoing and in full swing.
In his visit to Haa Alifu atoll, President Solih's first stop was to Hoarafushi island. He received a warm welcome from the people of Hoarafushi.
The atoll tour includes visits to Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo, Kelaa, and Dhidhdhoo. He will meet MDP members and supporters in the three islands. He will also hold a primary campaign rally in Dhidhdhoo tonight.
On Wednesday, the President will travel to Haa Dhaalu Hanimaadhoo to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Hanimaadhoo Aiport Development project.
In addition, a campaign rally has been scheduled to be held at Artificial Beach in Male' City on Friday night.
