Safa Group pilgrims depart for Saudi Arabia

Al Safa Hajj and Umrah Group pilgrims who were unable to leave for Umrah due to visa issues have been granted visas and departed for Umrah today.

The 182 pilgrims were originally scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia on March 6. However, they were informed at the last minute that they could not travel to Saudi Arabia as scheduled due to visa issues. Following the issue, the Islamic Ministry instructed the Umra group to facilitate the pilgrims' travel to Saudi Arabia at no additional cost.

The group left for Saudi Arabia today on a chartered flight of Oman's Salam Air. Safa Group said the group's pilgrims first encountered visa problems when the Saudi company in charge of obtaining visas did not provide them as agreed. However, the company later apologized and refunded the visa fees, Safa Group said.
