Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has concluded his visit to the Maldives.
Minister Rajnath started his three-day official visit to the Maldives on Monday at the invitation of Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi. He was welcomed at the Velana International Airport (VIA) by Minister Mariya and senior MNDF officials.
During his visit, Minister Rajnath met with President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih, his counterpart Minister Mariya and Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid to discuss further strengthening bilateral relations between India and Maldives.
Rajnath's visit replaced the coast guard vessel donated by the Indian government to the Maldives in 2006 with a new vessel. He also handed over other military aid to the Maldives government.
