Mohamed Gais has been ousted from the Director's Board of the State Trading Organization (STO). Gais was removed from the board by the Privatization and Corporatization Board earlier yesterday.
Appointed to the STO board on May 19, 2019 by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Gais's removal coincides with the ongoing restructuring initiatives undertaken by the newly appointed President, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The STO board currently consists of Chairman Amir Mansoor, Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim, along with members Mohamed Murad, Mohamed Nizam, Ismail Zumail Rasheed, and Mohamed Ahsan Saleem.
