President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, upon his Cabinet’s recommendation, has decided to close the government for the last ten days of Ramadan. This decision followed discussions on a paper submitted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs during Sunday's Cabinet meeting.
This measure intends to foster Islamic values, encourage engagement in religious practices, and allow citizens to prioritize religious observances during this significant period.
The closing of government offices for the concluding ten days of the holy month of Ramadan is among the presidential pledges of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
