Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef departed today on an official visit to the Republic of Montenegro.
The Vice President is scheduled to attend the Third Congress of Democratic Montenegro in Danilovgrad, Montenegro, from December 24-26, 2023. He will address this Congress at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Aleksa Bečić, Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Internal Policy, European and Foreign Affairs, and President of Democratic Montenegro.
The Republic of Maldives and the Republic of Montenegro established diplomatic relations on November 24, 2009.
