The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has issued an alert for adverse weather conditions across the country.
The Met Office issued a white alert for the entire country from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm today. Heavy rain with thunderstorms and winds up to 40 mph are expected.
The Met Office has also issued a yellow alter for the area between Noonu Atoll and Vaavu Atoll, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Heavy rain and thundershowers are expected in the area with winds up to 45 mph.
