Aishath Jennifer, the Deputy Managing Director of Island Aviation Services (IAS), has been dismissed from her position.
Jennifer was appointed to the role on December 27, 2018. during the administration of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
An Island Aviation official confirmed to AVAS that Jennifer was fired today under the authority of the company's board.
Jennifer has been serving at Island Aviation for 25 years. When she was the Deputy Head of Maldivian's Cargo Department in 2016, she was terminated from the post during former President Abdulla Yameen's rule. However, after challenging the termination at the Employment Tribunal, she successfully won the case and was reinstated to her position.
