Newly elected Male' Mayor Adam Azim has said efforts are already underway to combat littering on Male' City roads.
Taking to social media platform X, Azim said a dedicated city council team has already commenced efforts to curb littering in public spaces across Male', Villimale', and Hulhumale'. The Mayor requested the public to cooperate with the council in the campaign.
The Mayor reminded city residents that disposing of garbage in public places within the city is strictly prohibited. He emphasized the need for collective responsibility in maintaining a clean urban environment.
“A clean, beautiful, livable city can only be achieved if everyone works together,” Azim wrote.
