Reports have surfaced of Indian soldiers boarding a Maldivian fishing vessel and threatening the crew.
Social media posts state that an Indian navy vessel approached and boarded the ADH Mahibadhoo fishing vessel, "Asurumaa 3," while it was engaged in fishing activities within Maldivian territory.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has acknowledged receiving reports of a boarding team from a foreign military vessel confronting a local fishing vessel within the Maldives' Exclusive Economic Zone. MNDF said a coast guard vessel is en route to the area to assess the situation.
